TASTE THE LOVE

History of Emily G's

Emily G's started as a simple playdate. Stay-at-home moms Emily and Gina took their preschool children strawberry picking near their Atlanta homes in April of 2008. After picking more then they could handle, Emily and Gina experimented with their first jar of strawberry jam to share with friends and neighbors. Soon they were getting requests for more!

Encouraged by their families, Emily G's was launched and quickly grew into a full-time business. Their artisan jams, called Jam of Love, are available on-line, in 40 retail locations, and local farmers markets.

About Gina "G" Bodell

Gina was first introduced to cooking as a young girl in her grandmother’s kitchen. In the summer, her grandmother would send her out back with old spices and a bowl to create her own concoctions. After college, Gina spent several years in the food industry before taking a 10-year detour in the finance industry.  All the while her passion for food continued. Returning home to be a full-time mom, Gina started her own catering company. In May of 2008, Gina and Emily Myers partnered up and created Emily G’s LLC.

About Emily Myers

Emily left her career as a counselor to pursue her dream of becoming a chef. While studying at the Midwest Culinary Institute in Cincinnati she apprenticed at the Mt. Adam’s Fish House and worked as sous chef at Chokolate Morel in Mason, Ohio. While starting her family, Emily continued her passion for cooking by catering and teaching. After moving to Atlanta in 2008, she partnered with her neighbor Gina Bodell and created Emily G's LLC. She continues to teach classes at Cooks Warehouse in Atlanta. Her class, Cooking 101, was recently featured on CNN.com.
